Bovard Scholars: COVID-19 Health and Safety Protocols
We hope you are enjoying your school year. As we prepare for the Bovard Scholars summer intensive, we are sharing some specific details regarding health and safety campus protocols around COVID-19 following the guidance of USC’s Office of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), USC Student Health, and USC Facilities Planning and Management. Please note that these requirements and restrictions are subject to change as conditions related to COVID-19 evolve.
COVID-19 Vaccinations & Health Screenings
The University is requiring vaccinations (including a booster dose, if eligible) for all students, faculty, and staff. Strict enforcement of vaccine policies has proven highly effective at preventing serious symptoms. Students may request medical or religious exemptions. Unvaccinated individuals with an approved medical or religious exemption will be required to complete a COVID-19 test every 72 hours.
Students will be required to provide proof of vaccinations via the Medical History form. Accepted students will be emailed in May with information on how to submit the Medical History form and proof of vaccination or exemption form(s).

We will continue to follow the guidance of USC’s Office of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S), USC Student Health, and USC Facilities Planning and Management to update our health and safety guidelines and program policies. As we get closer to the program, more details will be provided outlining in-person policies via email to accepted students, as well as, posted on our website.
